PEPID has announced a new wireless installation services for their medical reference software for Palm handheld computers.

This system has been called Over-The-Air (OTA) installation as it allows users to install new applications and sychronise already installed apps with updates without needing to physically connect to a computer.

Two great wireless technologies merge in the Kyocera EVDO wireless router. This device lets you take a wireless network anywhere you can get an EVDO signal. EVDO is a high speed mobile phone connection that allows interent browsing, email downloading, etc at much higher speeds than a standard GPRS connection.

Practical uses of this device would be to take a wireless network to an event without a hard-wired interent connection. Could be useful in emergency situations where medical teams could all access the net via wifi enabled PDAs connected to this router.
