Re: Cost Effective Medical records and Billing Software

Interesting choice of billing models. Sounds a bit like I heard that the Amazon Kindle was very low cost so that they could make the profit off of the Amazon eBooks you'll buy for it. It could certainly work. People like free and a clearing house could in theory give you better collections.

I just wonder if you're maybe missing an opportunity to be a clearinghouse for other competing EMR software companies. If you have the infastructure in place, then it seems like you could offer a clearinghouse interface to other EMR software companies and really benefit. This type of strategy would be similar to AmericanAirlines Sabre system which is/was used by almost every airline to book flights. I heard that American Airlines made more from their technology licensing to other airlines than they did on tickets.

Anyway, I'm just theorizing here. Maybe this isn't even possible.
