I am looking to acquire an EMR for my office, has anyone bought the eMDS MER/PM system? About what was your costs to acquire the software? Are you happy with it?

I think that there are two views points to be considered when strongly advocating the use of EMR in practices. For a Doctor it needs to easy to use and save time so that more time can be spend on the patient. Currently we have many vendors with different types of EMR that are so hard to use that it simply puts them off. I think healthcare technology companies need to develop product after regular interaction with doctors to ensure that they provide just what is required. This is then followed up with a period of Beta testing in real time environment before it is offered as a product in the market.

eMDs is a good software company. I'm quite familiar with the CEO and he is a smart individual. I know this post is old, but did you go with eMDs or are you still searching? I've heard both good and bad about eMDs and I think it has a lot to do with the doctor and the way they practice medicine.

I personally prefer DoctorsPartner with their monthly pricing plan or Medtuity with their pay by the visit plan (although I wish it had a PMS). I just hate the idea of paying so much for an EMR that may or may not work with a doctor's style of practice.
