Standards

Hi all

There are few standards for modern day EMR systems as a whole, there are many standards relating to specific aspects of EHRs and EMRs. These include:-

ASTM International Continuity of Care Record
ANSI X 12
CEN - EHRcom
CEN - CONTSYS
CEN - HISA
ISO - ISO TC 215
DICOM
HL7

Re: Standards

So many standards. Now if everyone would just follow them. Well, at least some of them are becoming rather accepted.

Re: Standards

openEHR is an interesting standard/specification that's missed off your list. Check it out: www.openehr.org

Which standards in particular do you see as becoming more accepted John? HL7?

Re: Standards

HL7 was the first that came to mind. I think that DICOM is also pretty standard.
