Question EMR/PM

Hi,

We are in the process of developing a "EMR/PM software for pediatricians. We would like to have your opinion on the features which can be incorporated in the software so that we develop a software which can really be helpful for pediatricians. Based on the information gathered from various resources, we have come up with a feature list which is as follows:

1. World wide web accessibility - The software should be such that it is accessible online on web as well as offline.
2. SOAP analysis
3. Diagnostic tool - providing a list of differentials against each set of symptoms
4. Appoitment manager
5. Automated scheduled reminders for inoculations, vaccinations, follow up visists etc.
6. Built in communication server with in-built email tracking and message boards
7. Electronic Medical Record system
8. Capturing lab data - facility to capture lab data by connecting it directly to lab devices
9. Facility to capture and store photographs and images
10. Large database capacity with no limitation on data storage
11. Multiple data output formats - PDF, XML and HTML
12. Multi user software
13. Built-in library
14. Tools for patient education program
15. Remote log-in for patients
16. Patient accounting and invoicing
17. Vendor management
18. HR management
19. Inventory management
20. Adaptability to Telemedicine project
21. Televideo conferencing

This is an overview of the feature list we have prepared. We are trying to gather information about the feasibility of such a software. We will be highly obliged if you can provide your expert inputs and help us with the same.

Just to add, "with the advent of technology and clinical advances, herewith we attempt successfully to combine
* advanced electronic health record keeping and maintainance(AEHRKM);
* billing and accountancy ( including accounting of time, money, resources and interactions) ;
* with a clinically structured and restructured query (SRSQ) based ease with potential clinical decision support system (CDSS) ,
* along with automated drug prescriptions; nondrug orders and instructions with patient educational material and good resource library; on a web based XML platform.

so as to project ourselves into an emerging era of CDSMS (CDSMS is clinical decision support and management systems); making health data more organised, legal, easily reproducible, so as to save the time and resources (of a clinician and institute) involved in data entry, keeping and maintainance.".

Thank you for your time.

Regards,
Meghna
