Medical Records Implanted into Patients via Microchip

Insurance Networking News is reporting on a new chip implant with medical records stored on it.

"Chronically ill Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey members and emergency room physicians can now access health histories and records, along with other important information, with a quick scan. The Newark, N.J.-based insurer announced a two-year collaboration with Hackensack, N.J.-based Hackensack University Medical Center, its physicians and the VeriChip Corp., Delray Beach, Fla., to implant FDA-approved microchips in chronically ill patients enabling emergency room physicians to access those patients' medical record electronically. The microchips provide immediate access to family contact information and information about the patients' medical histories."

Re: Medical Records Implanted into Patients via Microchip

This reminds me of when some people in Japan were getting their cell phones embedded so they didn't have to carry them around. If we could merge the 2 then we could just carry all of our information on our bodies.

I'm just not sure how upgrades to the system would work. Can you imagine the scarring? What about firmware upgrades?

PLEASE anyone reading this, buy a King James Bible - not a New King James, but a King James Bible and read Revelation 20:4

Blessings,
