Microsoft Buys Azyxxi EMR

Microsoft buys into the Healthcare market:

"On 26 July 2006, Microsoft announced that it has acquired the intellectual property of Azyxxi, a clinical data repository built by the staff of the Washington Hospital Center and deployed at seven MedStar Health hospitals. Microsoft also hired 40 people associated with Azyxxi. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed."

This should be really interesting to watch since it is a pretty big change from what Microsoft usually does.

Have you also heard any news about Microsoft buying "GCQ" as well. They are a company that does the same thing as Azyxxi but in California.
