Favourite Gadget?

What's your favourite gadget at the moment?

My latest purchase is a new iMac - not really a gadget but definitely very cool! Love the Mac OS X, iTunes, iMovie, etc. It's also allowing me to make some more use of another gadget - my camcorder!

OK - so my favourite gadget at the moment has shifted to my SPV M5000 - it based on the HTC Universal and it a Pocket PC phone with 3G, wifi and a high res screen. It's very useful for acting as a wireless modem and browsing the web and checking emails on the device itself.

just out of interest, is your smartphone able to sync with your mac? I really want to move to mac at home but unsure of compatibility with mobile 5 on the PDa's

Re: Favourite Gadget?

You can't currently sync a WM5 smartphone with a mac. WM 2003 is fine - you need to use The Missing Sync or Pocket Mac but neither of these support WM5 yet as far as I know.

The people who develop The Missing Sync are working on a WM5 version and you can subscribe to their email list to be alerted when the new version comes out.

I've always just synced with my PC because it's easier so haven't tried all the solutions out there of syncing PDAs with Macs.

There may be another way of doing it but as far as I know you'll need to wait for the latest version of The Missing Sync if you want to sync a WM5 device with a Mac.

Re: Favourite Gadget?

I like the look of the o2 xda 2s. I'd never seen it before.

I still love the facial recognition software. It amazes me each time it works. Not to mention I don't have to worry about locking or logging out of programs on my computer. I'm also currently working with the vendor to integrate single sign on. This is espescially cool with facial recognition because it is constantly seeing your face and so single sign on is a reality.

I'm not sure which list you found since I made 2:
EMR Forums - An EMR Lovers Paradise
My Top 10 Favorite HealthCare IT Blogs

I'm glad you got hooked. I think its a fascinating field. We need more people to participate it. The more people participating and adding input the better the information we create.

Re: Favourite Gadget?

Sounds good docxda!! I'm glad it has become your paradise.

So, the real question is did you find my post first or Doctor's Gadget first and then mine? I need to know if I owe Chris dinner or if he owes me dinner.

If you found Doctor's Gadget first then I won't be hurt if you don't respond;-)
