Specs for downloading medical monitoring devices

Where would I look for interface specs on various hand-held medical monitors, such as blood sugar monitors, devices that measure blood gases, breath components, etc? Many of these devices have a store-and-forward ability, storing a number of test readings until the device can get to a reader, presumably at a doctor's office, where the whole set of data can be downloaded. What I want to know is what kind(s) of devices do the downloading.
