Introductions

Welcome to Doctors' Gadgets.

Please use this thread to post an introduction about yourself and any interests you have about using medical technology.

I'm a UK doctor and I spend most of my time working on medical websites and elearning courses. I also run a workshop for the Royal Society of Medicine about using handheld computers.

Cheers!

Re:Introductions

Hi Kim,

Welcome to the site. Let me know if you have any questions about your PDA.

Check out the 'Software' section as we list a lot of the medical software around and you can read reviews that people have posted up.

Cheers,

Chris

Hi All:

I am the president of a medical billing services company which also trains and certifies medical billers around the country. I have been in the medical billing business for 15 years, during which time, I have seen numerous changes. I hope my expertise in billing and coding will be helpful to this forum.

Hello Everyone,

I'm a business analyst for an open source services and consulting company, Sourcio. One of our recent customers is a mammography clinic, for whom we developed and implemented a patient tracking system based on existing open source software. It looks like we will have several other clients from the medical industry in the future, and I believe the inherent advantages and philosophies behind open source are a good match to health services, so I decided to learn more about what doctors and other end-users of medical software are looking for.
