Help a nooby to start a free medical software project :)

Hello all! At around 2 years ago I made for me a software that is a diagnostic helper browsing diseases with a symptom and outputing all diseases in the database that could have that symptom in a list. It is adaptable and easily can be made versions for diferent medical specialities, and added and removed diseases and symptoms. First it was designed for maxillo- facial surgery diseases, but may be entered fast diseases from the internal diseases, pediatrics ... etc making easily patches for the software. It also has a diagnostic aspect - you write all the symptoms and it makes a list of all possible diseases that most propriatly fit the diagnosis. Alot of my collegues liked it. Some time ago I bought a PocketPC and recompiled the program for the arm- processors familly. Some of its functions worked, but alot of work is still to come. I want to make this software free. However appeared some problems in my mind. First I am afraid from making it GNU, because some may take the codes, change them a little and start selling it as a commercial product. Second I understood for other readily free diagnostic software, like Diagnosaurus. And third will there be some other people help in programming and developing. So comes some questions question ... to be or not to be GNU - is it beter to make it payed, or free with people who want to help with programming to do it without having the source code (which os possible) and another one - is there a use this to be done and the third question - will there be people that want to help with working on the project, even those that have no programming skills. The first version of the software for Pocket PC is already available for download. If you are interested in it you can download it from the main site. For now this is:

Please note that the address must be written exactly as shown. Doing even small changes like removing the Index.htm at the end will not lead you to it. The software for now is orientated for the maxillo- facial area and not all diseases having symptoms in that area are added, but can be very easily adapted for another medical specialities, and in next versions the database will be increased. For sometime now all my prescriptions and admitting orders are computerized. But i dont use a PC, only my Treo or my Z22. I do it via Infrared printing. I did it using Dr.Eyes International Medical software.

Try it. Believe me it really impresses your patients.
