help! drug program compatible with Vista

I got a new computer with Windows Vista. I tried to load Epocrates to my PDA (which is a TMobile MDA) but it won't work. Tech support said they aren't compatible with Vista. I then tried to load PDR.net equivalent. Also won't work. Are there any drug programs that I can download that are compatible with Vista?

Re: help! drug program compatible with Vista

Don't know of any at the moment. Skyscape have a few products but they don't yet list Vista in their technical requirements section. You could try their technical support.

Epocrates are apparantly working on Vista support so perhaps you could load your PDA via another computer until the vista version is available?

"Unfortunately, Epocrates does not currently support the Windows Vista platform.

However, we are actively working with developers at Palm and Microsoft so that all users who have the Vista operating system will be able to use our products in the future.

In the meantime, we invite you to access the same free drug and insurance formulary information available in Epocrates Rx via the internet. Simply visit www.epocrates.com and click on the link to access Epocrates Online."

Sorry I can't be of more help. Post back if you manage to find something that works.

Re: help! drug program compatible with Vista

Skyscape is fully Vista compatible.

Both Palm and Windows Mobile work without an issue. Windows Mobile Device Center on vista of course supports only Windows Mobile 2003 devices and higher.

MySkyscape utility on the desktop was slow which has been fixed and can be updated by running an "Update Now" on smartupdate.

The latest info is that Skyscape works and Epocrates doesn't:

I just got my new PDA and I think I was having the same problem you're talking about. Google: Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 for Windows Vista. I had been getting error messages about the activesync, but after downloading this I had no problems. I really am not sure how I stumbled across it since my computer did the search for me. I'm sure if you google it you'll find what you need. Hope this helps and Good LUCK!
