Is Treo 700wx good for 2nd year Fam Med Resident?

Hi
Dr. Wife, a soon-to-be second year resident, has tasked me - the resident computer geek - with getting her a combined cellphone/PDA. She needs it for UptoDate and ePocrates.

From what I've read at this forum, she needs a phone with a touch screen. We currently have a VerizonWireless plan, and I see that the only phone that they sell that has a touchscreen is the Palm Treo 700wx.

I'm also wondering if it might be better to bump her onto another provider. We live in the Philly area.

Any recommendations on either this phone or a better service?

Thanks,
JSK

The 700wx is pretty nice device. Nice size and weight makes it usable as a phone. It also has everything you need to run medical software.

I'm in NZ so I don't know about providers I'm afraid.
