Smart Phone vs. PDA
Hi,
I would like to get a PDA which I could use to access the internet to look up info I might need e.g. guidlines from a psychiatric cite, drug interactions, maps, phone numbers etc. Speed would be important as I don't have much time when I am with a patient. I would also be able to store some books on the PDA. I think it would make sense for me not to carry too many gadgets (already have two phones) so I was thinking a PDA + phone combo would be good, but could go for just a PDA with wifi. I was thinking along the lines of Cingular 8525 (AT&T now) vs. Treo 7 something vs. Palm TX. Not clear if I could use the cingular model to download medical texts etc or go to epocrates. Have read mixed reviews about Lifedrive - what do people think? Also, would eventually like to do prescriptions via internet and possibly e medical records.
Any suggestion?
