iPhone
I may very well be showing my complete lack of knowledge of the wonderful world of PDA's, but here goes.
I'm a nursing/PhD in Public Health student. I work a fair amount in SE Asia. One of the women I worked with last year really recommended getting a PDA and her's came in handy more times than I could count when we were in places with zero reference books.
I won a gift card to our campus computer store. I walked in the day the iPhone went on the market. The sales guy was super excited about the thing, but couldn't answer many of my questions. To be honest though, I wasn't sure I was asking the best questions as I'd never even considered what an iPhone actually was. He showed me a whole lot of icing, but basically I'd like to know more about the cake.
Is this thing a PDA? Can it act as a PDA? Can it do word processing? Is there or do you think there will be much in the way of med. software put out in a form compatible with iPhone? Are these all just absurd questions as iPhone is actually just a little computer without much in the way of a keyboard and whatever software I can put on my mac, I can put on an iPhone?
No real rush. I'm not getting anything for a month or so. Just curious and starting to look around now.
