pda/smartphone and Mac

Hi
I am looking for a smartphone/pda to use with my new mac. I live in Canada and the Apple Iphone is not available here so that is not an option (also I don't think there is medical software that runs on Iphones).

I have looked at the Treo and the blackberry and it seems there are pros and cons with each. It this point I am leaning towards the Blackberry. has anyone had experience with blackberries with a mac computer. And does anyone know whether blackberry can run epocrates etc quickly and without problems. thanks for any info Jacqueline

This is far from an answer to your question but perhaps there will be something in these links to help.
1. Medical dictionary for BlackBerry
2. Layout 1 (Page 1)
3. 2 B.B. on a Mac Computer... I need some Help - BlackBerry ...
4. PDA medical software requirements for Epocrates

I have used a Palm Treo since November 2007. I quit carrying a Palm Zire 72 and cell phone and simply need the combination phone/PDA. My main complaint is a mild reduction in volume of the phone. I use ePocrates many times a day and my phone seems to be used mostly in the evening.

The Palm syncs readily with my iMac. I have discovered with ePocrates updates that I must sync twice, otherwise it crashes. This was a problem for me with the Palm Zire for several years. Maybe it is just something on my own iMac that does this. It works fine aside from this.

Re: pda/smartphone and Mac

i have been looking forever for a mac "activesync" for some time now, and all i've seen is "the missing sync", or something that sounded like that. it's around $50 (around €30), not sure if it's worth it or if it even does what it's supposed to do - that's why i'm dual boot on mac/xp.
